The Floating Rock
This was captured on Groton Lake in Groton State Forest in Vermont. I noticed this rock close to the shore of the lake. The clouds were beautiful and the lake was incredibly still and the reflection had an ethereal quality to it. Captured with the Fuji X-T2 and the 50-140mm F2.8 lens.
Nick's Lake Reflections
This was taken in the Adirondacks at Nick's Lake. Captured with the Fuji X-T2 and the 16-55 F2.8 lens.
Fourth of July Reflection
This was taken at Owasco Lake in Auburn NY during the annual fourth of July fireworks display. I setup across a small cove and intended to just shoot the fireworks with long exposure photography. However, as I started reviewing the photos, I noticed the amazing reflections. Captured with the Fuji X-T2 and the 16-55mm F2.8.
Lake Ontario Sunset
This was captured in the summer on a hazy evening on Lake Ontario. Captured with the Nikon D750 and the 24-70 F2.8 lens.
Black and White Water Flow
This was captured in Tremon State Park in New York State. Waterfall shots generally are never good when the sun is shining. On this particular day the sun was out, but I wanted to capture some long exposure shots. So I intended to capture this and convert it to black and white. Captured with the Nikon D800 and 16-35mm F4.0 lens.
This was taken at Montezuma Wildlife Refuge. During the spring the Seneca River is usually spilling over it's banks with all of the newly melted snow. This tree sits alone surrounded by water and thousands of carp. Captured with the Nikon D800 and 16-35 F4 lens.
This was taken at Filmore Glen State Park in New York State. This beautiful waterfall is very accessible, but I still don't know why it's called the Cow Sheds. It should have a much more beautiful name. Captured with the Nikon D600 and 16-35 F4 lens.
Columbia River Gorge Cascade
This was taken in the Columbia River Gorge area in Oregon during a trip out west in 2013. Captured with the Nikon D600 and 16-35 F4 lens.
This was captured on a trip out west in 2013 to Glacier National Park. There is a river next to the Many Glacier Hotel and I was able to get this image during an early morning photo walk. To me this is hands down my favorite image of that trip and likely my favorite image I have taken. Captured with the Nikon D600 and 16-35 F4 lens.
Swiftcurrent Creek Sunrise
This was taken on Swift Current Creek in Glacier National Park. The morning was chilly on this particular morning and the mist and rising sun created a beautiful golden glow here. Captured the Nikon D600 and 16-35 F4 lens.
This was taken in Glacier National Park in Montana during the summer of 2013. The morning mist of swift current lake added a beauty to the colorful boats on this dock. Captured with the Nikon D600 and 16-35 F4 lens.
Upper Yellowstone Falls
This was captured in Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. They call this area the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and with good reason. The falls here are massive and the canyon is beautiful. Captured with the Nikon D600 and the 70-200 F2.8 lens.
Upper Falls on Filmore Creek
This was captured at Filmore Glen State Park in New York State. Going against the conventional wisdom, I did shoot this waterfall with the sun shining through and I think it works here. Captured with the D600 and 16-35 F4 lens.
Trout Lake Reflections
This was taken in 2010 on my first trip to Yellowstone National Park. Being the only picture taken with a small Canon point and shoot, this proves that gear is only part of the recipe for a good photo. Captured with the Canon Powershot SX200 IS.
