I was born and raised in Auburn, New York. Throughout my life, I have always been drawn to the outdoors. At the age of six, I was introduced to the Adirondack Mountains by my parents, and I immediately fell in love with them. Since then, I have hiked, camped, and backpacked as much as I could in those mountains and throughout the US and Canada ( and soon the world ).
In the early days during my travels, I enjoyed taking pictures of landscapes and any wildlife I encountered. However, I quickly became unsatisfied with using simple point and shoot digital cameras. The image quality was just not what I pictured in my mind. In 2011, I made the switch over to digital SLR cameras. I was now no longer limited by my gear and could further seek out the imagery I had always imagined.
Photography has become a learning experience for me and a passion. It is an amazing excuse to just get outside and view nature, and the wildlife that surrounds us. Sharing these photos and learned knowledge with others gives me so much joy.
